I’m really excited to get this action-packed adventure series into the hands of the thousands of readers who subscribe to KU. This is a perfect binge series for KU readers. Each romance is unique. Each cyborg’s struggle to find his or her humanity is full of both torment and triumph. There’s lots of humor. And there’s a new release on the way.
Yes. Book 6 is absolutely going to finish up the running “big bad guy” storyline (kudos to Josh Whedon for that). Believe me, you’re going to need closure when you read this one. However, Nero 1000 is not going to be the last cyborg book for me. I don’t know if I’m going to write more of this series or start a new one, but I’ll be writing more cyborgs one way or another. Stay tuned…

Military romance is loaded with sexy heroes in uniforms, but few sexy heroines. I wrote one in Saving Santa but here’s another. Many, many, many thanks to the awesome Cat Johnson and her Hot SEALs series Kindle World for giving me a reason to write it. And I thank Cat again for letting me republish the book after the program closed. I am very happy to get this joyful love story out to a wider audience.
This story is special to me because I’ve married two military men in my life. I’ve often been the person left behind when a soldier ships out for active duty. It’s hard on both the leaver and the one being left behind.
But oh the homecoming is very, very sweet…
Hope you enjoy this second chances love story with a military twist…
Diego Ortiz has too many demons to fight to even consider taking on a relationship. But when socialite and former model Lilly Carmichael needs rescued in the midst of a crowd of people, he’s right there to lend her a hand. Proximity forces him to acknowledge that he needs to be with her and when they finally give in, it’s a revelation to them both.
Lilly Carmichael sees the real man Diego is, though he tries to discourage her. Angry and secluded he tries to shove her away, but she hopes that if she’s persistent enough, he’ll bend. And he doesn’t seem to be protesting as hard as he used to be…
As she’s thrust into a situation she has to fight against, he’s right there supporting her, being the man that she had always hoped for.
J. M. Madden is an author friend and a critique partner, but I’m also a huge reader fan of her Lost and Found series. I saw a graphic recently of all the books in the series and was surprised that I had somehow missed one or two, especially since I got to see most before they were even published. She said she was getting a similar response from some of her readers, so I decided to do my part to help her get the word out.
If you haven’t tried this series, The Embattled Road is a free series starter that sets up the heroes by telling you the backstory of their military careers. The art is wonderful for this series. Who wouldn’t love looking at these covers again? I am always happy to feature her work on my blog.
